Pin-compatible replacement for older cores

The driver core listed below was developed as pin-compatible replacements for an older driver. He is based on the same SCALE-2 chipset as all other SCALE-2 drivers. Please note that the standard SCALE-2 drivers (see above) are recommended for cost-sensitive applications and new designs as they are optimized towards lowest component count resulting in best-in-class cost position.

What's a Driver Core?

Driver cores are modules equipped with all the basic functions of a driver such as electrical separation, protective functions, DC/DC converters etc.

They are mounted on a circuit board containing all the additional components required to match the driver to specific IGBTs or applications, such as an input interface, gate resistors, active clamping etc. Driver cores for IGBTs are available with reverse voltages from 600V to 3300V.

They are also suited for driving power MOSFETs.
