1SD312F2MODULAR SINGLE CHANNEL PLUG-AND-PLAY IGBT DRIVERHighly approved SCALE technology The award-winning drive circuit for IGBTs for 4500V IGBTs from 400A to 900A Short DescriptionThe 1SD312F2 are compact, intelligent, high performance, single-channel plug-and-play IGBT drivers of the intelligent SCALE driver family. The 1SD312F2 drivers support 2-level, 3-level and multilevel converters. They have been designed specifically for precise and reliable driving and optimal protection of 4500V IGBT modules. The 1SD312F2 drivers are based on CONCEPT's sophisticated SCALE driver chipset. The drivers are fully equipped with protection functions such as Vce-monitoring for short-circuit protection, operation inhibit after fault, supply undervoltage shut down. The 1SD312F2 series drivers are featuring an active clamping function, which is the most rugged and best-performance way to protect the costly IGBTs. Operating the gates with a bipolar control voltage (typically ±15V) allows the IGBT modules to be driven reliably with high immunity to interferences. Fiber-optic Interface OptionsFiber-optic links (versatile links) are used for the electrical insulation of the command and status-feedback signals. For details, check the product documentation. Power supply and electrical insulationIn contrast to the other SCALE plug-and-play drivers (e.g. 1SD418F2 or 1SD536F2), the drivers of the 1SD312F2 family are modular in the sense that the driver card and power supply (DC/DC converter) are two separate units. Thanks to this modular concept, any driver unit that was developed to match a specific IGBT module can be used for any required insulation specifications. Only the separate power supply unit must be chosen or adjusted to a specific application. On the basis of this concept, the drivers for IGBTs in the voltage range from 3.3 to 6.5 kV can be implemented in 2-level, 3-level and multi-level inverter topologies. The driver unit is mounted directly onto the IGBT module by means of three screws. The power supply unit is designed as a separate module attached close to the IGBT (see Fig. 1). Key Data Overview(all datas without power supply ISO3116I)
Note1: 16.4V is the nominal output voltage of the ISO3116I power supply. The power supply works with nominal 15V input voltage. Note 2: Maximum switching frequency depends on the IGBT gate charge. See data sheet for actual value of specific driver. 1SD312F2 drivers for 4500V IGBTs
