IGD515EIMEDIUM/HIGH-POWER SINGLE CHANNEL UNIVERSAL DRIVER COREHighly approved technology For 1200V, 1700V and 3300V IGBTs Short DescriptionThe intelligent gate driver IGD515EI are highly approved single-channel drive components for IGBTs. They were developed specifically for the precise and reliable driving and protection of high-power modules, high-voltage modules, series and parallel circuits. Special logic functions allow the implementation of reliable series circuits with IGBTs. The driver support 2-level, 3-level and multilevel converters. Gate driving with a positive and negative control voltage (±15V) allows reliable operation of IGBT modules of any size from any manufacturer. Thanks to the great interference immunity attained by means of the negative gate voltage, a number of IGBT modules can be connected in parallel without the user having to worry about parasitic switching operations or oscillations. The IGD515EI contain an overcurrent / short-circuit protection circuit, a power-supply monitoring function, a status acknowledgement, a mode for brake operation, a mode for series and parallel circuits. The driver core is optimized to match various IGBTs and applications from 100A / 1200V to 1000A / 1700V and beyond. ReliabilityIGD515EI drivers has been established on the market as an industrial standard since 1996. The driver has been tried and tested in high quantities in industrial and traction applications. The calculated MTBF according to MIL Hdbk 217F is 2 million hours at 40ºC. According to field data, the actual reliability is much higher. Key Data Overview
